Khader Al-Mashaikh, the head of the Committee of the Jordanian and Palestinian Prisoners in Saudi Arabia, told the local Shehab agency that the health condition of Dr. Mohammed Al-Khudari,  former Hamas' representative in Saudi Arabia, who has been detained since 2019 in Saudi Arabia, is deteriorating. Al-Mashaikh has been suffering from many health problems for a long time.  

Al-Mashaikh said that Al-Khudari's health condition deteriorated because the prisons' administration did not provide him with adequate health care.  There are concerns over the spread of Coronavirus infection to Al-Khudari and the other detainees. Al-Mashaikh demanded that Saudi Arabia immediately release Al- Khudari so that he would receive treatment.

Al-Mashaikh pointed out that the court hearings ended some days earlier. However, in the last hearing, the judge announced the date of the ruling to be four months later shocking all the parents who were expecting the verdict to be made at the time.

 Al-Mashaikh  was shocked to know the charges against Al-Khudari; the strangest of which was joining a terrorist group without identifying its name. Another strange crime he was charged with was supporting the Palestinian people and sending aids to Gaza and the West Bank.

"For a long while now, I have not heard of any political or diplomatic mediation to close this file," Al-Mashaikh said commenting on whether there were mediations to have the detainees released.
