A large number of worshippers and families gathered at the gates of Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa answering to the Great Dawn call to pray in Al-Aqsa despite the cold weather hitting the region. 

They wanted to assert the Palestinians’ spiritual bond with Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa and to reject the occupation's plans of Judaization and annexation. As for those banned from entering the Al-Aqsa, they prayed at the gates and arenas of the Masjid.

The citizens' performance of Dawn prayer in Al-Aqsa was in response to the settlers' break-ins of Al-Aqsa, provocative tours and performance of Talmudic rituals under heavy soldiers' protection and prevention of Palestinians' entry to the Masjid.
