Walla website said that Israeli security officials and Hamas leaders held talks at Beit Hanoun crossing with Egyptian mediation about prisoner exchange deal.
The website added that Egyptian intelligence officers met Israeli occupation security service officials who spoke about issues that could help in maintaining calm at the crossing.
Sources in the Israeli occupation security services told Walla website that Hamas would make concessions in the exchange deal that the number of the freed Palestinian prisoners would be in hundreds instead. The sources added that these concessions will be in exchange for economic projects in the Gaza Strip.
On the occasion of Palestinian Prisoner's Day, Khaled Mashal, the leader of Hamas abroad; confirmed that his movement would force the occupation to release the prisoners.
He added that the prisoners’ freedom was Hamas and all Palestinian factions’ duty, and Hamas would redouble its efforts to free prisoners, stressing that Palestinian embassies had made a great effort in the cause at the global level.
