Israeli Channel 12 reported that Mossad chief David Barnea visited the Qatari capital, Doha, where he met with Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani to discuss the Gaza negotiations.

The channel, citing a source familiar with the details, said that Barnea stressed the need for mediators to make it clear to Hamas that the cabinet’s decision to occupy Gaza is not psychological warfare but a serious step.

For its part, Channel Kan reported that a Hamas delegation is expected to leave Egypt today, heading to Doha to continue discussions on the mediators’ proposal for a comprehensive agreement. Meanwhile, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, citing sources, said that talks with Hamas could resume if the United States and the mediators present a new plan that meets Israeli demands.
