Nasredeen Abdulbari, Sudanese Minister of Justice, tweeted that the Sudanese Sovereignty Council of Sudan and the Council of Ministers approved repealing the Israeli Occupation Boycott Act, which was enacted by the Arab States in 1958.
When Sudan announced normalization with the Israeli occupation, the Sudanese Council of Ministers passed the draft, but it still required the approval of the joint session of the Sovereign and Ministers Councils.
Israeli Boycott law banned dealing and trading with the Israeli occupation and imposed penalties including fines, confiscation of lands and imprisonment for up to 10 years.
