Ghassan Daghlas, an official who monitors settlement activities in the northern West Bank, warned of grand settlement schemes planned for by the Israeli occupation at the expense of the Palestinian citizens' lands in Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
The occupation plans to add 534 new settlement units to expand Shvut Rahel settlement in Jalud and Turmus Aya in south Nablus which would result in 5 times the settlements' presence there.
Daghlas noted that the construction will take place on an area of 376 donums of Jalud and Turmus Aya. He said that the plan is intended to turn lands into residential buildings, residential areas, public and commercial institutes, open spaces and other facilities.
