Some activists in New Jersey prevented the ZIM Qingdao, operated by the Israeli international shipping company ZIM, from unloading its cargo at Maher Terminal in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

The activists succeeded in persuading the workers to skip work and keep the cargo on the ship. Several workers joined the activists at the seaport.

'Stop Israeli Cargo Ships' alliance was founded in 2014 and was recently reactivated. It prevented several Israeli ships from loading and unloading at several American, Canadian and African seaports.

The Alliance said that a similar entity with the same name succeeded in preventing an Israeli ship from unloading its cargo at Prince Robert seaport. The workers at the dock cooperated with the activists, forcing the ship to leave with its cargo still on.
