Joe Biden emphasized in his meeting with Naftali Bennett the importance of avoiding the practices that would increase the tension between the occupation and Palestinians. The White House said that Biden also emphasized the significance of the steps that aim to improve the living standers of Palestinians and asked to provide Palestinians larger economic opportunities. He also affirmed his support to the occupation’s iron dome.
Biden and Bennett also discussed the peace between the Palestinians and the occupation and other files, including Iran’s file. Biden concluded the meeting by saying that the relation between Washington and Tel Aviv is on its heightened state.
Al-Quds newspaper reported that Bennett did not mention anything regarding the Palestinian issue but asked for the US embassy not to be reopened in the occupied Al-Quds fearing to lose his American ally and to collapse his government.
