Ghassan Duglus, the official of the settlement issue in the West Bank, said that a group of settlers uprooted dozens of olive trees in Burin town in the south of Nablus.
Duglus said that this violation comes in parallel with the season of the olive harvest.
Within the same context, settlers prevented farmers from entering their lands to harvest the olive trees in the Khala Hasan area in Biddya town in western Salfit, according to Yousef Abo Safiya, a member of the national committee to defend Palestinian lands.
Abo Safiya noted that this is not the first time the settlers prevent Palestinian farmers from reaching their lands as the occupation forces help them doing so.
Khala Hassan, which has an area of 4 acres, is threatened with settlement expansion and establishment of a new settlement over it, in which it will connect five settlements and a number of settlement outposts between Salfit and Qalqilya.
