Emirati activists launched the "Emirati League Against Normalization" to oppose the normalization announced by their country with the Israeli occupation. They believe the step taken by the Abu Dhabi Government violates the constitution and the Arab consensus. Therefore, they issued a founding statement that their government ignored an honorable history of the Emirati people in which they supported the Palestinian people and its cause, and considered normalization a betrayal to the Muslim nation as it legitimizes the Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands.
