Visit of U.S President

In about two weeks, US President Joe Biden will land at Ben Gurion Airport. He will be received by incoming Prime Minister Yair Lapid. At the end of his visit, the President will take off to continue his trip to Saudi Arabia in Jeddah, where he will participate in a regional Arab summit with the countries of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Egypt and Jordan.

Biden's visit to the region will be a success for Israel if he succeeds to reach agreements with the Summit of Arab States on the following topics: 1) an Arab-Israeli defense alliance sponsored by the United States without Iranian aggression against Israeli objectives. 2) Non-lifting of Iran's sanctions; and coordinating among States. The only topic that is in the basket of shared objectives for Biden and Israel and is not associated with the Arab Summit in Jeddah is the Israelis' Visa Act to the United States

The Visa Act, which fell with the fall of the government, was supposed to allow the citizens of Israel to enter the United States without a visa. This has been an Israeli dream for many years: reaching the United States like Europe, without complex questionnaires, standing in line, having interviews in the U.S. Embassy, and paying hundreds of dollars on the visa. President Biden was also supposed to accelerate the progress of the topic and see it as a tentative theme for establishing friendship relations, trust and cooperation between the two States.

This is the moment to prepare for Biden's visit and to define it as a regional political summit based on the understanding that this is a general Israeli goal with no connection to party affiliation.
