Former Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister and lecturer at Al-Najah University, Dr. Nasser ad-Din al-Sha’er, was wounded by gunfire in the town of Kafr Qalil, south of Nablus, in the occupied West Bank.
Local sources reported that gunmen shot Al-Sha’er in Kafr Qalil, wounding him with six bullets in the legs.
The police opened a file to investigate the circumstances of the crime, the background of which remains unclear.
Al-Sha’er was the Minister of Education, and Deputy Prime Minister of the tenth Government, and then Minister of Education of the eleventh Government.
