President Mahmoud Abbas called Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan inviting him to support the Palestinian elections and provide Turkish observers to join the international ones and supervise the elections. He also drew to his attention the most recent political developments and pressure exercised by  the US on several countries, and the need to face such pressure and adhere to the Arab Peace Initiative.
