The young man Qais Shajaiya was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces for allegedly shooting at a house and wounding a settler in the "Beit El" settlement north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.

Y Net website claimed that the shooting was carried out with an automatic weapon 300 metres away, from the outskirts of Jalazon camp towards the Beit El settlement.

According to Israeli media, an occupation army force ambushed and shot two young men, one of whom was killed and the other escaped with injuries. The occupation army claimed that the shooting took place while a military force was at the scene that responded by firing at the executer.
