Australia has announced the cancellation of its recognition of Al-Quds as a capital for the Israeli entity, retracting the decision that the former government had taken.

The Australian Foreign Minister “Benny Wong”, said that the holy city situation should be decided through “peace” conversations between “Israelis” and Palestinians and not through unilateral decisions, stressing that Al-Quds is a final status cause that should be solved as it is a part of any peace negotiations.

The former Australian government under the leadership of “Scott Morrison” had recognized in 2018, Al-Quds as a capital of Israel in a departure from Australian norms towards the Middle East for decades.
