Jerusalem-based sources reported that the Israeli occupation authorities have issued a decision to banish the Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Territories, Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, from Al-Aqsa Mosque for a period of six months.
This comes after the end of a previous 8-day ban, which was imposed following his Friday sermon condemning the occupation’s starvation policy against the population in the Gaza Strip.
Israeli forces had arrested the Mufti following the sermon from within the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, before releasing him later.
