In his speech before the 75th Session of the UN General Assembly, President Mahmoud Abbas invited the Secretary General to initiate cooperation between the Quartet on the Middle East and the Security Council to make the necessary preparations for an international conference with full jurisdictions with the participation of all relevant parties beginning next year. This is to begin real involvement in a real peace process that is based on the international law, and that aims to end the occupation and achieve the Palestinian people’s independence in its own state with the ‘eastern side of Al-Quds’ as its capital. In addition, the conference should solve all other issues, mainly the refugees issue.
