Results of "Role of Research Centres in the Decision-Making Process" Research Contest

El-Messiri Academy for Studies and Research and Refugees' Studies Academy, funded by PALM Strategic Initiatives Centre, announced the results of the research contest entitled "Role of Research Centres in the Decision-Making Process" with the attendance of the research arbitrators from different Arab countries.

Islam Al-Aloul, Director of El-Messiri Academy for Research and Studies, thanked PALM Strategic Initiatives Centre for sponsoring this contest. She said the contest started in March and went through several phases for transparency and credibility to choose the best research, as they were displayed on the plagiarism checker to reveal and exclude the stolen ones. 

The candidates' number reached 62 from different Arab countries; 41% were from outside Palestine. Then, 42 candidates were selected for competition. 

Alaa ad-Din Nemer, Director of Refugees' Studies Academy, stressed the importance of scientific research that promotes awareness, provides an in-depth understanding of several issues, and transfers science and knowledge. He said that it is also a weapon to refuse the Israeli narration to create a generation able to defend the Palestinian cause. 

Noor Alyacoubi, spokeswomen for PALM Strategic Initiatives Centre, stressed the importance for scientific research centres for the sake of intensifying the research efforts exerted to refute and confront the Israeli narration. For this, the Centre funded this contest which sheds the light on the Israeli occupation's interest in Zionist research centres, the importance of Arab research centres, and the big role played in the political and military decision-making process.

She added that the main purpose of this contest is to raise the quality of research related to the Palestinian people and its conflict with the Israeli occupation.

At the end of the ceremony, the winners' names were announced, and certificates were distributed to participants and arbitrators.
