We Have to Be Wise, Not Only Right

Itmar Ben Gvir has the right to pilgrimage to the "sanctuary-Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa", whether as Minister of National Security or a normal person, but the issue with his visit is whether it is right to conduct it with dance and drums or can such a visit be made to one of the most sacred places in the world, humbly and quietly? Ben Gvir's predecessors in office did not refrain from visiting the mosque but refrained from publishing their intentions in advance.

Ben Gvir is allowed to try to change the police policy in the Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa, lighten the conditions imposed on the Jews to visit the sanctuary, try to expand the areas of visitation, visit hours and days to them, and prove the quiet prayers of Jews in the east of the sanctuary. However, the goal at this moment seems to be strongly paraded towards the Islamic side, but this is wrong and unwise.

The sensitivity around the sanctuary is always high and is even more tenuous these days, as Palestinian resistance in the West Bank and Al-Quds grows, and the number of individual operations by young Palestinians increases. So that we do not fall wrong, Jews must act wisely in their diligence not to serve Palestinians by giving them an argument or justification for increasing their rampant operations.

Bin Gvir will learn very quickly that every event in the Al-Aqsa region affects not only the Temple Mount and Al-Quds, but also affects further regions throughout the Muslim world. Yes, it is not a reason for us to bend down the head and succumb to the threats of Hamas and Muslims in the Temple Mount, but it is certainly a reason for us to act there wisely and not just to be right.
