The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission confirmed that there were 26 prisoners suffering from bitter living and detention conditions within the "Hawara" detention center.
The commission indicated that the detainees currently detained in Camp Hawara suffer from a miserable reality, complaining of lack of hygiene, deprivation of clothing and coverings, starvation policy implemented by the prisoner's administration and lack of health care.
According to the commission, the prisoner Mohammed Abu Al-Rub, 47, suffers from inflammation of the bowel and is administered two pills a day. He was supposed to start biological treatment, but the prison administration refused to provide it, arguing that it was expensive.
Prisoner Mohammed Safran (46) complains of severe infections and inflamed left kidney, suffers from a disability with the palm of his left leg, severe pain with his hand following another injury. Also, the prison clinic procrastinates to offer him to a specialist doctor and to provide him with the necessary treatment.
