Israel Today-Adapted

When we are told that "our situation has never been better", the natural reaction is not only discomfort but also fear. Such a statement brings us back fifty years; to the summer of 1973 and to the electoral slogan of "Al-Merakh" Government, which spread vanity, pride and even interruption on reality. All of these slogans crashed into the faces when the siren that announced the outbreak of the war of Yom Kippur {Day of Atonement} was heard.

But the truth is that the regional and international situation of Israel is good and gives it an excellent point of beginning towards the future, especially the ability to decide its own destiny and certainly in the fundamental issues that it faces.

In the international area, no one seeks to challenge Israel nowadays. The United States has for so long sought to disengage itself from the Middle East and from the rest of the world's problems, and to focus on its internal problems.

Also, Russia is preoccupied with its war against Ukraine. Even China is involved in the ongoing coronavirus crisis, and Europe is not ready to face the Russian challenge and needs Israel for the purpose of receiving military technology and supplying gas. For the Arab States, they seek to improve and develop their relations with Israel.

For all of that, we can say that our situation is good and gives us a freedom of action that we have never seen in the past. Now, it remains only to ensure that we can exploit the current reality in our favor in order to advance Israel's interests and demonstrate its regional and international status.
