Oct 07, 2020 11:20 am

Prisoner Maher Al-Akhras continues his hunger strike for the 73rd day in a row as an attempt to protest against the administrative detention he is under. His health condition has seriously deteriorated as he suffers from coldness and numbness, and has lost 20 kilos. He now suffers from fragility, weakness in hearing, crams, severe nausea, and continuous blackouts. The doctors warned against the possible damage that could happen to his organs. Al-Akhras said in an interview with Mayadeen Chanel that his will is not to have his body under autopsy after his martyrdom. He said, “I will continue my hunger strike. I will not back down. I will either be free and back with my family and kids, or I will die a martyr under their false justice”.
