The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies in Doha carried out a poll in 13 Arab countries to see Arabs’ willingness to recognize ‘Israel’. 88% of Arabs were found to reject their countries’ recognition of the Israeli occupation while 6% only thought otherwise. Half of the ones who agreed to have their countries recognize the occupation said it was a condition for that to happen to establish an independent State of Palestine. The highest rejection rate was found in Algeria (99%), then Lebanon (94%), followed by Tunisia and Jordan (93% each). However, in the Gulf region, 90% refused to recognize the occupation’s entity in Qatar and Kuwait. 65% of the Saudis were against it, and 79% of the Sudanese refused it.
