Today marks the 29th anniversary of the massacre of Al-Masjid Al-Ibrahimi committed in Hebron, occupied West Bank.

On the 15th of Ramadan in 1414 Hijri, 1994 AD, the settler Barch Goldstein, accompanied by a group of settlers, stormed the mosque at the time of prayer. He waited until the worshippers performed sujud, then started shooting them, killing 29 worshippers and wounding 150 others.

He was supported by occupation soldiers by closing the doors of the mosque to prevent worshippers from escaping. Also, those coming from outside were prevented from arriving to rescue the wounded. During the martyrs' funeral, the occupation forces assaulted the mourners, killing 50 Palestinians.

The anniversary of the massacre comes as the occupation and its settlers continue their attempts to control it.
