The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned what the sick prisoner, Walid Daqqa, 60, is exposed to, holding the Israeli government fully and directly responsible for his life, especially in light of the deliberate medical negligence policy against him practiced by the occupation prisons’ administration.

The Ministry stressed that the policy of medical negligence practiced by the occupation entity against the prisoners completely contradicts its obligations imposed by international law, the Geneva Conventions and the principles of human rights. Moreover, it constitutes a violation of the relevant international covenants, and rises to the level of crimes.

In a related context, iit called for real international pressure on the occupying state to immediately release the prisoner Daqqa, who suffers from spinal cord cancer and who has been in the occupation prisons for 38 years.
