Members of the US Congress urged President Joe Biden and his Secretary of State, Blinken, to halt the American funding for the occupation entity, as Israel uses it to violate human rights in the Palestinian Territories.
Congressmen expressed their concern over the rising levels of violence in the occupied West Bank and the disturbing actions adopted by the new Israeli government, calling for immediate action to stop further casualties. They also emphasized that the government's actions violate international law and prior agreements made by the US administration. Not only this, but such actions will destroy the Palestinian country, cause more tension, and have terrible repercussions for both Israelis and Palestinians.
Furthermore, they urged the government to make sure that public funds are not utilized to fund illegal settlement projects and that no further aid to "Israel" would be used to fund flagrant human rights abuses.
