Mahmoud Al-Zahhar, official in Hamas, said in an interview with Hadarat for Political and Strategic Studies on the 9th anniversary of the Shalit Swap Deal that the delays in making a new deal are because of the setbacks the first deal had caused the internal elections of the occupation, and the latter's assumption that it could hinder it with military action. He also referred to the change in the mediator, meaning Egypt, emphasizing that the resistance will work tirelessly to force the release of the prisoners, learning from the mistakes of the first deal and choosing an international mediator that does not follow any of the countries that have relations with the occupation.
