The American newspaper Washington Post published an investigation into the direct and deliberate killing of Palestinian citizens, especially children, by special units of the Israeli occupation. The newspaper synchronized 15 video clips for the bloody incursion of Jenin in the West Bank on March 16, 2023, which resulted in the martyrdom of 4 Palestinians, considering it a violation of the international prohibition on extrajudicial killings. 

Michael Lynk, the Special Rapporteur on the situation of Human Rights in the Palestinian lands, stated that these killings are clearly unlawful according to the international standards, and what adds to its illegality is the choice to implement killings in a crowded civilian market. He also added that neither of the two men targeted posed any source of threat.
