The Palestinian Prisoners Club confirmed that given Walid Daqqa's serious and complicated medical condition, the Early Release Committee of the Occupation Prisons Administration's decision to reject his request for an early release and instead refer him to a special committee amounts to a new decision to kill him.

Furthermore, the Club called on all national and international levels to act urgently and immediately to release the prisoner accurately, noting that he finished serving his first sentence last March, which lasted for 37 years, and that he is now serving an additional two years. They claimed that this decision imposes additional legal complications in the process of trying to release him.

Prisoner Daqqa suffers from a rare type of cancer in the bone marrow, which followed the Leukemia that he was diagnosed with in 2015. This huge deterioration came from the deliberate medical negligence to kill Walid Daqqa.
