A source from Shuhada Al-Aqsa Hospital reported that nurse Adi Al-Qur'an was martyred after an aid box fell directly on him during an "airdrop operation" near the town of Al-Zawayda in central Gaza.
International organizations have warned against air drop operations, stressing that these operations are "symbolic and ineffective," as the packages are dropped in highly dangerous areas without coordination or precise location determination, making them vulnerable to loss or falling into the hands of undeserving people.
The UNRWA Commissioner-General, Philippe Lazzarini, confirmed that air drops are "costly, ineffective, and may kill starving civilians."
Hunger is escalating in Gaza, and international organizations are unable to find a way to deliver aid, medicines, and nutritional supplements for malnourished children due to the Israeli-imposed policies.
