The traumatic event on the Egyptian borders hangs over the stupendous achievements in everything related to Israeli security with Egypt. Fifty five years have passed since the Yom Kippur War and 44 since the Egypt-Israel peace treaty, yet Israel used to enjoy a relatively calm front.
Yesterday's event was hazardous and odd. How one perpetrator could exceed the border without being noticed, who is most likely an Egyptian soldier with tremendous strength. This event should be investigated along with the Egyptian army's behavior, for which its spokesman released a statement of condemnation. It is important to ask Egypt for clear and real answers and to know whether the Egyptian soldier was assisted by his leaders or not. It is also significant to make sure that there are no further Egyptian soldiers who hold the same intention, with full awareness, to avoid any trust issue between the two sides.
The tactical level-related questions must be addressed. The first point focuses on where the male and female soldiers were killed; if they were in the same place, why; if so, then they should be distributed each in a point. Regarding the circumstances surrounding the third soldier's death, there is a second tactical problem. After killing one of the soldiers and injuring another, the Egyptian soldier was discovered and murdered. However, it was too late.
As a result, there is talk of a cruel incident, but from a wide perspective, it appears that the situation will continue as the army successfully maintains the border.
