Israeli Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi said that the army will soon move to the next phase of Operation Gideon’s Chariots in the Gaza Strip.
He added: “In this phase, we will continue to intensify the strikes against Hamas in Gaza City until its defeat.”

Zamir claimed they had inflicted heavy damage on Hamas, saying: “Operation Gideon’s Chariots has achieved its goals; Hamas no longer possesses the capabilities it had before the operation.”

He explained that the Israeli army would maintain the momentum achieved in Gideon’s Chariots, with efforts focused on Gaza City.
