Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, an 84-year-old imam and preacher at Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa, was issued a 6-month travel ban by the Israeli occupation forces.
According to Sheikh Ekrima Sabri's legal office, representatives of the occupation intelligence invaded his home without prior warning or regard for the sheikh's person or health, and he was issued a decision barring him from traveling for six months. Under the guise that his travel might endanger the occupation.
Last May, the occupation forces called Sheikh Ekrima for questioning, which lasted several hours, after which he was freed after receiving an order prohibiting him from speaking to Palestinian and Arab media.
