Abdelbasit Maatan, a former prisoner who spent roughly ten years in the occupation jails, was given a 6-month extension to his administrative detention by the Occupation Military Court. Notably, he is a sick and cancer-stricken prisoner.

Even though Maatan has colon cancer and his health is failing, his detention was prolonged for a third time in a row for a term of 6 renewable months.

The renewal of Maatan's administrative imprisonment, according to the Palestinian Prisoners Club, is a continual crime against him, and all the occupation authorities are complicit in it given the terrible and upsetting state of his health.
