Yoav Gallant, the Minister of the Occupation Army, disclosed that the Israeli occupation plans to build a dividing fence on the Jordanian side of the Wadi Araba region border in order to stop people from smuggling weapons into the occupied West Bank.
In a secret session of the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee in the Knesset, Gallant stated: "Iran and the Palestinian organizations consider the West Bank a point of weakness, and direct many resources there, for the purpose of directing attacks."
Gallant's comments follow the Israeli military's disclosure that it foiled a plot to transport weapons into Jordan last week in the Jordan Valley, which it claimed was a significant and exceptional attempt to do so.
