Confrontations broke out as the occupying soldiers barred a citizen's funeral from entering Beit Ummar and opened fire with tear gas canisters, leading to several civilians suffering tear gas inhalation. 

According to sources, some mourners suffered tear gas inhalation, and the occupation forces are said to have fired tear gas canisters into the town from the roofs of houses close to the entrance.

In a related incident, several young men suffered tear gas inhalation during the confrontations that broke out after Israeli occupation troops attacked the town of Al-Eizariya in occupied Al-Quds and shot bullets and tear gas canisters at the youth.
