As of mext October 7, when the Jewish holidays come to an end, the Israeli Mini-Ministerial Council for Political and Security Affairs (Cabinet) decided that no changes would be made to the circumstances of Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli prisons.
Itamar Ben Gvir, the minister of national security, and Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of the occupation government, will hold a cabinet meeting to discuss Ben Gvir's decision to lower the visits of prisoners' families to their sons from once per month to once every two months.
In response to concerns over a deterioration in security in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, Netanyahu's office denied that a decision to restrict visitors to Al-Aqsa had been made.
The emphasis will also be on getting ready to deal with any potential escalation over the Jewish holidays.
