Kayed Al-Fasoos, a detainee who has been on a 49-day hunger strike in administrative detention, had his appeal denied by the Israeli occupation court in Ofer prison.
The ruling of the occupation court, in the opinion of the prisoner's club, amounted to a death sentence for the inmate, especially in light of the time that he had been on an open strike and the growing dangers to his life.
Al-Fassos is the only detainee going on a hunger strike, and the occupation has kept Al-Fassos in Negev jail cells to this day. He is exposed to brutal confinement conditions as well as systematic degradation that has been inflicted upon him since the strike's inception.
