Today marks the eighth anniversary of the "Jerusalem Uprising," which began on October 1, 2015. It broke out when a group affiliated with the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, carried out a heroic operation near the "Itamar" settlement, resulting in the killing of two Israeli settlers. This event triggered a series of stabbings, vehicular attacks, and shootings in various areas of the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem.

The uprising was a response to the heinous crime committed by Israeli settlers who set fire to the Dawabsheh family in Nablus Governorate, resulting in the martyrdom of a Palestinian citizen, his wife, and their infant child. It also coincided with escalating Israeli violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque, increased Judaization efforts, and desecration of its premises.

The "Jerusalem Uprising" continued for several months, during which the Israeli occupation failed to suppress the wave of attacks carried out by young Palestinians with bravery and determination. These events left a historic mark in the annals of resistance.
