Hajjah Lahbib, the European Union Commissioner for Crisis Management and Equality, stated that humanitarian aid is piling up at the crossings of the Gaza Strip, and food is rotting due to the Israeli occupation preventing its entry, causing a humanitarian crisis in the region.

Lahbib mentioned that "for more than a month, no aid, food, electricity, or even a single piece of bread has reached Gaza." She expressed her sorrow over the deaths of humanitarian workers who are trying to save lives, noting that the occupation has not approved humanitarian missions wishing to operate in the area, and that there are no international staff remaining in Gaza and the West Bank.

She also pointed out that the situation in the occupied West Bank is deteriorating, increasing the need for decisive political action. She added that the first high-level political dialogue meeting between the European Union and Palestine will be held with the participation of Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa following a meeting of foreign ministers, where they will discuss opportunities for cooperation, bilateral relations, and meeting the needs of the Palestinian people.
