The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has warned of an imminent collapse of the humanitarian response in the Gaza Strip amid the sharp deterioration of conditions on the ground and the ongoing Israeli war on the territory.

In a statement, the committee said that the worsening security situation in Gaza is severely hindering the work of its staff and humanitarian partners. It stressed that without immediate action, Gaza will descend into chaos that humanitarian efforts will no longer be able to mitigate.

The ICRC added that civilians in Gaza have been left without the basic necessities required for survival, emphasizing that the immediate resumption of aid deliveries is imperative—otherwise, the implementation of the ICRC’s programs in the Strip will become impossible.
