An undercover Israeli special force unit, known as “Musta'ribeen,” assassinated Ahmad Sarhan, a commander in the Al-Nasser Brigades, in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. His wife and children were arrested.
According to Al Jazeera, eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli special unit infiltrated the area disguised in women’s clothing, using a civilian vehicle. They stormed a house, executed a Palestinian, and arrested his wife and children. Another child was killed during the force’s withdrawal from the home.
Media sources stated that Israeli warplanes launched over 30 airstrikes within a 40-minute period to secure the special force’s exit. This was accompanied by intense gunfire from Israeli helicopters and tanks, resulting in dozens of martyrs and injuries.
The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the objective of the special operation in Khan Younis was to arrest commander Sarhan for interrogation and to extract information about the captives, but the mission failed.
