The Israeli occupation army announced the death of a First Sergeant during battles in the southern Gaza Strip.
The army published details of the operation, which took place yesterday east of Khan Younis in the south of the Strip, where a building collapsed on the soldiers, resulting in the death of one and the injury of others.
According to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, the incident occurred when a powerful explosive device was detonated inside a four-story building east of Khan Younis. The explosion caused the building to collapse, killing First Sergeant Danilo Moukano and injuring three others — two of whom are in critical condition. The rescue operation lasted several hours.
Since October 7, 2023, the number of Israeli soldiers and officers killed has risen to 857.
