UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini stated that at least 100 children have died due to malnutrition and hunger in Gaza.

He explained that more than 40,000 children have been killed or injured as a result of airstrikes and bombings in Gaza. Additionally, at least 17,000 children have been left unaccompanied or separated from their families.

Lazzarini added that one million children in Gaza are suffering from severe psychological trauma and are unable to attend school.
