Republican U.S. Representative Randy Fine called for bombing the Gaza Strip with nuclear weapons, describing the Palestinian cause as “evil.”

His remarks came in response to a shooting incident in Washington that injured two employees of the Israeli embassy while they were outside the Jewish Heritage Museum, where an event was being held by the American Jewish Committee.

Speaking in an interview on Fox News, Fine said, “The only end to the conflict in Gaza is the complete and total surrender of anyone who supports Islamic terrorism,” as he put it.

He went on to say: “In World War II, we did not negotiate surrender with the Nazis, and we did not negotiate with the Japanese. We used nuclear bombs twice against Japan in order to achieve unconditional surrender.”
