The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, stated that tragedies in Gaza continue relentlessly, even as global attention shifts elsewhere.

Lazzarini added that “dozens have been killed and injured in recent days, including starving people who were trying to obtain food through a deadly distribution system.”

He pointed to the ongoing restrictions on the entry of aid through the United Nations, including UNRWA, despite the availability of large quantities of humanitarian assistance ready to be delivered into Gaza.
