Doctors Without Borders has warned of a severe crisis of hunger and malnutrition affecting the population of the Gaza Strip.
The organization stated that the number of malnutrition cases at its center in Gaza City has nearly quadrupled in less than two months, rising from 293 cases in May to 983 cases in early July, including 326 cases among children aged between 6 and 23 months.
The organization emphasized that the humanitarian situation in the sector urgently requires intervention to ensure the delivery of food and medical aid to the civilian population, especially as ongoing military operations continue to exacerbate the suffering of the residents, particularly children and the most vulnerable groups.
