The Director of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, Dr. Mohammed Abu Salmiya, announced the shutdown of the Public Services Hospital due to fuel depletion, warning that Al-Shifa Medical Complex itself will cease functioning within a few hours.

Abu Salmiya explained that the remaining hospitals will stop providing services by tomorrow at best, endangering the lives of hundreds of wounded and sick people. He stressed that “intensive care, neonatal incubators, dialysis, operating rooms, laboratories — all these services will now come to a halt.”

Earlier, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip issued an urgent appeal, warning that patients in the hospitals are living on the brink of death every day due to the severe shortage of fuel necessary to operate generators and ambulances.
