Munir Al-Barsh, Director-General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, confirmed that 500 infants are receiving treatment in Gaza hospitals due to hunger and malnutrition.

Al-Barsh said that more than 28,000 cases of malnutrition have been recorded in the Strip since the beginning of the year under the ongoing blockade. He added that 1,750 people have died while waiting for humanitarian aid in the Strip.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip and starving Palestinians by closing border crossings, causing famine to spread and reach catastrophic levels.
