Israeli Channel Kan reported that Israel has submitted a new proposal to Hamas regarding the deployment arrangements of Israeli forces inside the Gaza Strip. Security and political circles anticipate a positive response from Hamas, potentially leading to a significant breakthrough in negotiations within days.

The new maps presented by Israel reportedly include notable flexibility, most significantly the redrawing of the “Morag axis” and changes in military positioning in certain areas of the Strip.

A senior military source told the channel that the army has recommended the political and security leadership move forward toward an agreement, while maintaining military presence around the Gaza envelope communities.

According to the draft agreement, formulated with the help of international mediators, the deal includes the release of 28 Israeli captives—10 alive and 18 deceased—in exchange for a 60-day ceasefire and the entry of substantial humanitarian aid into Gaza, supervised by the United Nations and the Red Crescent.
